ABOUT CLIENT
CoreSite operates a nationwide portfolio of data centers that help enterprises improve IT performance and business outcomes. CoreSite delivers secure, reliable, and scalable data center solutions for organizations across the United States.
NEED
CoreSite sells a product that is hard to quote. Deals span multiple data center sites, with pricing built on ramps, abatements, escalators, license fee schedules, and cost-plus terms, all running through CloudSense, a third-party package layered on Salesforce, while fulfillment and billing sat in separate systems including JD Edwards. Quote-to-cash was stitched across tools that shared no data model, capping automation and scalability, and a fixed CloudSense license expiry set the deadline.
APPROACH
CloudMasonry sequenced the work rather than attempting a single cutover: two discovery engagements and a proof of concept before any build was committed.
- Delivered Salesforce CPQ with multi-site quoting, approvals, renewals, and amendments.
- Built Customer Asset Lifecycle Management and custom logic for CoreSite’s commercial terms.
- Integrated JD Edwards billing and automated case creation from the customer portal.
- Delivered replacement sales analytics to restore pipeline visibility.
- Migrated historical data into the new object model, with CloudSense package retirement scheduled separately once fulfillment automation was complete.
CoreSite moved off a third-party quoting package onto native Salesforce CPQ, with multi-site quoting, renewals, amendments, and billing running through one data model for the first time. Automated case creation and standardized pricing replaced manual handling, and new analytics restored the pipeline visibility that previously depended on legacy tooling, so the team can see and manage quote-to-cash end to end.
